Intermediate Membership (Age 25 – 29)

The course plays 6928 yards off the back markers and has four par 5’s, ten par 4’s, and the four par 3’s, with water coming into play on 2 holes and hazard areas on many others. Accuracy, good course management and solid iron play is required. The toughest holes are 4 and 12, both par 4’s are the lowest index on the course. Measuring 450 each they both provide a different test. The signature hole is the Par 3 9th, situated with the estate’s walled garden. The shortest hole on the golf course provides a welcome break before entering Amen corner. Holes 10 through 13 is where scores are made and lost. The course provides it all, with birdie chances on the short Par 4 3rd and the reachable Par 5’s 5 & 17. Long Par 3’s 11 & 16 where bogey is often a good score. Overall New Forest provides the visitor with an unforgettable and enjoyable challenge.

New Forest has been selected by golf ireland to host many major competitions over the years and it is a testament to the quality and challenge of the course that it continues to be sought as a host for major competitions.

The 2019 Irish Boys Championship was the last national event held at New Forest. Held in June, the weather was fantastic and showed off the course in all its glory. There was nothing but praise for the quality and standard of the course and our facilities.
